Those Little Quirks

The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog's back.

My husband and my daughter were fascinated by the fact that this sentence has all the letters in the alphabet. They didn't believe me. My husband even quizzed me.

Tonight we discussed whether to count peanuts - as in peanut butter - as a vegetable or not. I say no, you don't count it that way, and he whipped out his unabridged dictionary that's bigger than our car and read the definition to me. He counts it. I'm not saying it's not a vegetable (or fruit???) but that's not the key component in it, (it's protein - like meat) just like you don't count potatoes as vegetables because they're more like the starches in bread. I figured that we'll just have to agree to disagree, which means, I'll pretend that he won the argument just so he'll stop talking about it.

When you're with someone for a long time, you get to know all the little quirks about someone and it's just so charming. I'm sure my husband hates that I know everything and I'm the smartest person alive. It probably just drives him crazy. I let him win at Jeopardy every once in a while, just to make him feel good.

We do what we have to do.
